Kristin Fisher joined CNN on the 20th of July, 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the growth and advent of tourism to space. Kristin is her mother was one of NASA astronauts, and also an enthusiastic space lover, grew up immersed in the field. She worked for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Trump and Biden Administrations. Over the course of this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, in addition to two distinct administrations' initiatives. Kristin was on the road frequently, and both with the president and vice-president. She was even on an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to joining the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as a CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin used her experience behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films. It was also a favourite among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
